The intent of this Project was to expedite the understory establishment of white spruce within an assortment of aspen stands through understory planting with the intent to promote development of a second crop in the understory of the existing deciduous stands. The Project planted 114,915 seedlings in 6 different deciduous stands within Weyerhaeuser’s Edson and Drayton Valley FMA’s.
