This Project involved the thinning of 6 to 8 year old lodgepole pine cut overs. The blocks had previously been sprayed with herbicide to eliminate the deciduous competition, but competition between the remaining conifer warranted additional tending. The objective of this work was to increase the resources to the crop trees to allow them to increase growth and reach free to grow status.
