Object & Deliverables
The primary goal of this Project was the development of a cost-effective model for predicting where heritage resources are most likely to occur within the South Peace Region.
Objectives included initiation of a heritage resources overview, construction of a baseline data set, and
calibrating/evaluating the effectiveness of the model for predicting historic resources.
The work associated with this Project commenced in February 2001 and was completed in November 2002.
The results of this Project are contained within two final technical reports: “An Historical, Descriptive and Statistical Evaluation of the South Peace Digital Heritage Model”, and “Heritage Evaluation of Winter 2000/2001 Forest Harvest Developments in the South Peace Region” – both of which were authored by D.A. Bereziuk in 2002 & 2001 respectively.
