The primary purpose of this Project was the development of a new forest regeneration standard for Alberta.
Objectives included the collection of AEP prescribed data from the Company’s 1999 Cut Unit Surveys.
Over the 1999 Summer field season a total of 9,990 survey plots were established in 135 Cut Units comprising 2978 hectares of harvested area. These data were submitted in digital form to Alberta Environmental Protection – Forest Management Division for incorporation into the new Provincial Regeneration Standard.
