Object & Deliverables
Vanderwell Contractors is a sponsor in the Public Involvement and Awareness project (PIEA 2015-2017) along with the Woodland Operations Learning Foundation (WOLF). Project aim was to provide an easily accessed and widely distributed source of accurate and timely integrated forest management , careers and planning information for Albertans. The proposal was also to provide new skilled workers and development of skill and knowledge pathways enhancing forest worker and professional competence, both critical elements in improving forest management outcomes.
Final Report
The final report was presented 30 January 2018
- WOLF Delivered 1510 student days of environmental education on time and on budget.
- Course maintenance, review and development was an ongoing part of the project
- Direct benefits include students who will be making better informed decisions for Alberta forests
- Indirect benefits provided a platform to polish online training formats, and the development of student-funded workshops.
