The objective is to assist in hazard assessments in rural sub-divisions and encourage fuel management treatments by conduction chipping events to help deal with debris that these activities generate. The interaction between landowners and the County at these chipping events will be used as an opportunity to communicate FireSmart strategies and encourage further community participation.
Activities included an Open House at Evergreen Park and chipping events at Wapiti Heights, Mytic Ridge, Lawra Estates and Aspen Ridge.
