Object & Deliverables

In 1999 the Foothills Model Forest facilitated collaboration among 9 companies holding FMAs on the Eastern Slopes to form the Foothills Growth and Yield Association. This project is part of that agreement. Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of FGYA constitute reporting for FRIAA contributions toward these projects.

The long term purpose of the Regenerated Lodgepole Pine project was to forecast and monitor the growth and yield of lodgepole pine, regenerated after harvesting, in relation to site, initial spacing of planted stock, natural ingress and mortality, competing vegetation (brush) , and density regulation (pre-commercial thinning).
