This Projects primary goal was to examine the current state of knowledge regarding the influence of various timber harvesting practices on terrestrial lichens.
Project objectives included a thorough synopsis of all research and/or similar work completed to date with specific emphasis on the woodland caribou, and provision of guidelines for forestry practices from a biological and operational basis as it pertains to caribou habitat.
Work on this Project was carried out over the period of 2001 & 2002, and its results are contained in a forty-two page report entitled " Terrestrial Lichen Management: Literature Review and Considerations for Best Management Practices".
