The primary objective of this Project was to characterize and describe the range of seral plant communities and their productivity on second growth forest stands, ranging in age from 1 to 45 years on ecosites in west-central Alberta.

Field activities, data collection, data analyses, document preparation, and report writing directly associated with this Project took place over the period April 2001 to early 2005.

Project results are contained in the following reports/publications –

* Managed Stand Ecosite [MSE] – Data Dictionary (hard copy & CD ROM) prepared by Todd Little of Tesera Systems Inc., and dated March 2004; and
* Field Guide to Ecosites of West-central Alberta: Supplement for Managed Forest Stands Up to 40 Years of Age (First Approximation), prepared by I.G.W. Corns, D.J. Downing, and T.I. Little, and dated 2005.
