Density management was completed on 348 hectares in the Drayton Valley and Edson FMA’s in the fall of 1999. Some of the tending can be considered cleaning, some may be considered spacing and some a combination of the two. The objective was to remove sufficient amounts of vegetation to allow the crop tree to grow free of competition.
