Project Code: DMI-01-021
Area:Inventory and Planning
Sponsor:Daishowa Marubeni

The purpose of this Project was to collect extra information during regeneration surveys to help determine the results of the revised regeneration standards that were being created for implementation in the spring of 2000.

This Project had three objectives: provide a basis for assessing how well our regeneration is performing, attempt to provide a validation point for any revised regeneration standards that will be developed over the next year and potentially be used for the assessment of these blocks under the revised regeneration monitoring protocol.

This Project covered the incremental costs associated with the collection of this additional information. The work for this Project was completed during the spring of 1999 and the results of this Project were submitted to the Alberta Lands and Forest Service for analysis in revising provincial regeneration standards.
