Object & Deliverables
The purpose/objective of this Project was the aerial assessment of previously conifer restocked cutblocks to determine their free-to-grow status, from which follow-up management strategies could be devised.
During the Spring of 1998, approximately 5,700 hectares (233 existing cutblocks) were aerially surveyed – the information collected will be used to assess the current condition of the stands and prescribe treatments to those areas in need of remedial silvicultural.
