The principal objective of this Project was to determine the regeneration status of early post-fire stands within the Virginia Hills Burn Area.

During the 2005 field season, a total of 4,945.5 hectares of young, naturally regenerating burned stands were surveyed within the 1998 Virginia Hills Burn.

Project results are contained within the following reports/documents/maps –

* Characterizing Natural Regeneration in Post-Burn Stands, Virginia Hills Area (Part II), prepared by the Forestry Corp., and dated December 31, 2005;

* Virginia Hills Fire Survey Manual, prepared by the Forestry Corp., and dated March 21,2005; and

* Virginia Hills Fire Origin Survey Polygons Map for 2004 & 2005, prepared by the Forestry Corp., and dated February 2006.
