The project consisted of the acquisition of spatial planning software, called Stanley, for use by Weyerhaeuser to develop the Slave Lake Detailed Forest Management Plan. The resulting plan allowed a more meaningful scheduling of harvests and allowable cuts that more accurately reflected spatial constraints of harvesting. Funding was also provided for training Neil Stevens on the use of Stanley in January 1997. The final report was submitted in June 1998 by Neil Stevens, entitled “Acquisition of Spatial Planning Tools”.
