The purpose of this Project was to assess resource values in the middle portion of the Racehorse Valley in southwestern Alberta near Coleman.

The objective of this Project was to evaluate recreation, wildlife, range and oil & gas values with the longterm view of incorporate them into the ATLAS planning cycle with. An emphasis was placed on timber stands and broad ecosite classifications.

Activities in this Project included aerial photography interpretation, field reconnaissance, cruise check plots and redesigning operational unit designs adding resource value descriptors.

The results from this Project are summarized in the report "Wintering Mountain resource assessment" and associated map produced by Penniket & Associates.
