The objective of the study was to provide baseline data to be utilized as a benchmark for the condition of the forest ecosystem within the FMA. Specifically, the study was to provide an initial description of forest ecosystems with respect to composition and stand structure, to review current knowledge of fire patterns and natural disturbance regimes, and to collect baseline data on wildlife resources. Final reports include, “Fish population inventory and habitat associations in the Baptiste river drainage” by Thomas Boag and P.J. Hvenegaard, May 1993; “Landscape Vegetation Patterns and Natural Disturbance Regimes within FMA 8500023” by J.F.Niederleitner; and “An Inventory of Terrestrial Resources within Forest Management Agreement Area 8500023” by Westworth, Brusnyk & Associates Ltd., December, 1996.
