Object & Deliverables
The objectives of the project were:
- design and support specific research projects to assess stand and landscape level patterns of woodland caribou habitat use and movements in forests managed for multiple uses
- continue to monitor caribou movement through the use of GPS collaring programs in both the Red Rock and Narraway caribou herds
- make the best possible use of data collected to date, by building on completed research
- where possible, identify forest management and other industrial practices that minimize or mitigate negative effects on caribou in these areas
Final Report
