This was an operational Project for 1996 and 1997, which tended a total of 3590 hectares in defined regenerated coniferous stands to a standard which will secure the potential of increased growth and performance for those stands. These stands ranged in age from 6 to 22 years old and were tended either by cleaning or spacing. A further 2813 ha were surveyed and/or laid out in preparation for future works.
