Project Code: | ROCKY-01-010 |
Area: | Inventory and Planning |
Sponsor: | Rocky Wood Preservers Ltd. |
The primary goal of this Project was the expansion of existing fisheries inventory and habitat assessment data bases and the integration of previously developed road crossing tools for the Nordegg and Baptiste River Systems northwest of Rocky Mtn. House, Alberta.
Over the calendar years 2000 and 2001, baseline fisheries and habitat data were collected from 70 streams and 2 small lakes. Utilizing the "Fisheries Desktop Tool" these data were entered and stored in a Microsoft "Access" database. Additionally, various hydrologic analyses were performed within the course of this Project – including "Peak Flows" and "Fish Passage" and the development of the "Watershed Tool".
