Object & Deliverables
The goal of this project was to mitigate the environmental effects of recreational use, specifically, stream crossing damage [stream siltation and embankment erosion problems] on two highly used crossings on the Upper Carbondale River in the Crowsnest Pass Area of southern Alberta. Project objectives included replacement of a temporary wooden trail bridge with a more permanent design [Macdonald Pass crossing], and the re-location of a wooden bridge to the McCarthy Creek crossing. The fabrication and installation work was carried out over the Winter, Spring and Summer of 2003.
Final Report
Project results are summarized in a fourteen-page report entitled “Carbondale Bridging Completion Report”, written by Dale Linderman of 770538 Alberta Ltd. dated October 2003.
