Object and Deliverables

This Project was initiated to improve the forest resource through stand tending on various cutblocks in CTL W1-29 that were identified in FRIP Project ANC-01-005. These cutblocks had been harvested prior to 1991 and the stand tending was aimed a reducing shrub and deciduous competition, thus allowing the regenerating conifer to meet stocking and height standards earlier.

The Project comprised two different treatments for the regenerating coniferous stands, manual brushing was completed on 136.3 hectares and aerially applied herbicide was used for 97.1 hectares.

Final Report

The results of this Project were compiled in the report prepared by John Paul Macinnis from ANC Timber Ltd titled “Remedial silviculture plan for W1-29 of ANC Timber Ltd. FMA 8900026”.
