Object & Deliverables
The primary goal of this Project was the reduction of intra- and inter-species competition.
Objectives included removal of competing deciduous vegetation within a 1.5 meter radius of the established conifer, severed stump heights to be kept below 30 cm., and all slash lopped so as to lie flat on the ground.
Final Report
The weeding and thinning was carried out over the Summer and Fall of 2002. In all, seven cutblocks comprising a total of 125.1 hectares were treated. Direct costs amounted to $819.58 per hectare for reconnaissance, surveying, tending, and supervision.
