This Project supported ongoing efforts to identify, improve and enhance non-timber forest resources in the areas of cultural/historical resources and forest recreation. Activities included: inventory of sites of ecological, historical, cultural, geological and recreational significance; maintenance and construction of recreation areas and trails; and guide books and information products for interpretative use of recreational facilities. A draft report summarizing the inventory work and future options was completed in July 1996.
