This Project was conducted to enhance the recreational opportunities available to visitors of Weldwood’s FMA area. The objectives of the Project included: creating a comprehensive inventory of the recreational sites currently being managed by Weldwood and compiling a set of recommendations for the maintenance and enhancement of the current sites. This Project improved the management of forest resources through demonstrating integrated use and provided an inventory of the current state of Weldwood’s recreational resources. Recreational opportunities are an important stakeholder value, and interaction with the forest on a recreational basis will help to increase public understanding about the forest resource.
