The purpose of this Project was to release crop trees from competition and allow these trees to attain their maximum growth rates.

The objective of this Project was to manually stand tend satisfactorily restocked (SR) cutover areas that have since come under competition from various hardwood species and require a treatment release.

The blocks chosen for treatment are located in licenses CTLW040025 and CTLW040027. This Project entailed the manual brushing and weeding of 198 hectares with the use of brushsaws. The stands had been originally harvested between 1976 and 1980. The work for this project was completed prior to FRIP project acceptance.
