The primary objective of this Project was to prepare co-operative Preliminary Harvest Designs for a number of small timber operators [EDILA] in the Grande Prairie Trail, Tom Hill Tower, and HBOG MTU’s – spanning several operating years.
Supplementary objectives included ensuring that the designs were ecologically sound, that they met the needs of timber and non-timber users alike, and that they met or exceeded the provincial ground rule requirements.
The field and office work associated with this Project was carried out over the calendar years of 1999 and 2000.
Final results are contained in several Preliminary Harvest Design Reports, namely – "E2 CPA #3 Grande Prairie Trail MTU, Preliminary Harvest Redesign dated April 30, 1999"; "E1 CTP Preliminary Harvest Design for the HBOG MTU dated April 2000"; and the "E2-L7 Tom Hill Tower Preliminary Harvest Redesign" dated April 17, 2000.
