Objective & Deliverables

This was a research program aimed at conducting comprehensive , high quality research on natural disturbance patterns and processes on the Foothills Model Forest, as well as ANC Timber’s FMA. The intent was to develop opportunities to integrate some or all aspects of these patterns into ANC’s management planning process. There would e a series of peer-reviewed reports published and distributed by the Foothills Model Forest.

Final Report

The final report outlined a long-term research plan towards the goal of understanding disturbance patterns of all types and at all scales on the Foothills Model Forest.

The document:

• Provided a means of evaluating past research efforts and progress for internal feedback
• Provided the context for future research activities
• Allowed constant and appropriate two-way communication within the research [partners, potential research cooperators and the public.
