The project represents the continuation of forestry and environmental education programs delivered through Lesser Slave Lake Forest Education Society and Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory. The primary focus is delivering forest education programs in the Lesser Slave Lake region (K to grade 12) through classroom presentations and field trips. Forestry career presentations were delivered as well as development of new curriculum for teachers across the province. The project delivered webinars, summer camps and other special events. Final results are included in the report entitled “Delivery of Forestry and Environmental Education in the Lesser Slave Lake Region and Alberta, Part II, 2015-2017”, January 2018, by Michelle McMillan.
