The primary purpose of this Project was the assumption of responsibility for campground & trail maintenance/enhancement for a number of facilities previously managed by government in the greater Hinton area.

Its objectives included updating Action Plans, maintaining existing facilities, upgrading of several campgrounds and trails, and construction of one new hiking trail.

During late Spring, Summer, and early Fall of 2001, a three-year Recreation Action Plan was updated for the years 2002 to 2004 inclusive, twenty-one Recreation Sites were maintained, and three sites received major upgrades,
