Object & Deliverables

This project is an ongoing project to establish and remeasure plots in the NIVMA (Northern Interior Vegetation Management Association) cooperative. The plots were established in 1989 in response to the need for a robust silviculture establishment monitoring system. The cooperative membership consists of 18 forest companies, the Canadian Forest Service and UBC Alex Fraser Research Forest. This years’ measurements were a continuation of project WEYD-02-51. In 2000, 9 pre-harvest plots were established. In addition, 2 plots were remeasured that had been established in 1996, 7 plots remeasured that had been established in 1997, 10 plots remeasured from 1998, and 13 plots remeasured form 1999. All plots had GPS coordinates and were in the Drayton Valley, Slave Lake and Edson FMA’s. Plot establishment and measurements were done by Canyon Forestry Consulting Ltd.

Final Report

The final report was submitted by Wendy Crosini on August 14, 2001 and consisted of the final financial summary and a listing of the plots that were established and remeasured.
