Object & Deliverables

The primary objective of this project was the collection of data pertaining to the Star and York Creek drainages in southwest Alberta. The data enables the eventual development of a preliminary harvest plan that integrates all the resource considerations in the area.

Specific objectives included an inventory of recreational, historical, and industrial infrastructure; assessment of stand structure, forest health, and windthrow; assessment of critical ungulate habitat; and an assessment of fish habitat and fish potential for the Star and York Creek Drainages. Project field work and the associated report writing was carried out over the period January 2001 through December 2003.
