The primary purpose of this Project was to support multi-disciplinary integrated research in the northern Boreal Forest.

Specific objectives were developing a more complete understanding of the boreal forest and its ecological systems, developing new and improved forest management practices and developing new environmental technologies for the boreal forest.

Support for the Networks of Centres of Excellence – Sustainable Forest Management Network encompassed the years 2000 to 2002 inclusive.

The plans and results for each of the aforementioned years are contained in respective Annual Reports and Research Plans for the upcoming year.

Available in this file are the 1999/00, 2000/2001 & 2001/2002 Annual Reports; and the 1999/00, 2001/02, 2002/2003 Research Plans. Copies of the 2000/2001 and the 2003/2004 Research Programs are located in File No. WEYDV-02-62.
