The principal aim of this Project was to improve the growing conditions of regenerated White Spruce on several MOF Blocks in FMU F23.
Specific objectives included the manual weeding & tending of 224.7 hectares of MOF plantations and the development of several trained and competent brush saw operators.
Over the months of August and September 2001, four MOF Blocks comprising 224.7 hectares were tended at an overall cost of $873.86 per hectare. Work quality on all four Blocks was excellent at + 99% in all cases. In addition, four brush saw operators were trained and qualified as to acceptable competency.
