The primary purpose of this Project was the reduction of inter-species competition and release of the conifer regeneration.
Project objectives included removal of the hardwood competition, and increase growth & yield of the established coniferous species.
The stand tending (weeding & thinning) was carried out between June 1 and July 8, 1997. A total of 871.5 hectares of hectares were treated by two separate private contractors at an overall cost of $567.24 per hectare.
