The purpose of this Project was to accurately collect measurements on older cutblocks to assist in making more accurate silvicultural decisions.

The objective of making more accurate silvicultural decisions is to assist the company in increasing the growth of commercial hardwoods, which will in turn increase the yield of each block. This Project will also be used to observe how well regenerating blocks have grown as a result of past silviculture practices.

The activities for this Project occurred during the 1996 field season and were originally approved by the Lands and Forest Service but payment never occurred until FRIAA assumed responsibilities for FRIP.
