Object & Deliverables

The purpose of this Project was to reforest areas that were salvaged logged due to heavy blowdown or were deemed at high risk to continued blowdown.

The logged over areas were winter – scarified and summer – planted to white spruce in 1999.

 

Final Report

Approximately 289 hectares of cutover was scarified during the late winter of 1998/99 utilizing mounding & ripper-plow techniques, and subsequently summer planted that same year with white spruce container stock. A post-treatment survey was carried out in October 2001.
