The purpose of this Project was to assess ways to reduce snowshoe hare damage to conifer seedlings, thus improving the survival and growth of these seedlings.
This Projects had two objectives: research different methods of reducing snowshoe hare browse on seedlings and develop a hazard assessment system for rating cutblocks for expected graze.
This Project was the first year of a three year study that was completed in cooperation with the Alberta Research Council. The subsequent years of this study were funded through non-FRIP sources.
