The primary objective of this Project was to reduce the amount & extent of the vegetative competition impacting the coniferous regeneration.

Over the late Summer of 2005, a total of 253.68 hectares in ten separate cutblocks or parts thereof were mechanically tended (brushed), significantly reducing the deciduous stocking densities. All found costs amounted to $562.43 per hectare.
