The objectives of this project included providing forestry companies with the necessary software and photo index data to readily track and catalog aerial photography locations, as well as increase the accessibility and knowledge of existing aerial photography held by forest companies and the government. This project also aimed to eliminate the need to store hardcopy index maps by providing a more secure data archive. The resulting software was delivered to 6 companies at 14 site offices with training accomplished at each site. The consulting company for the project was Baldwin Aerial Imagery. The final report was developed by Norman Volk in December 1998 entitled, “WEYD02-22, Aerial Photo Indexing”.
