Object & Deliverables
This project contributed to the creation of The “Treehouse” within the new Environmental Gallery of the Edmonton Space and Science Centre.. The treehouse is a fun component of the Green’s Home, nestled in Our Backyard. Mrs. Green is an avid birdwatcher and has built a treehouse to get a particularly fine view of the bird species scattered around the gallery. The treehouse incorporates displays that provide data on songbirds of Alberta . It also provides information on the species of trees that flourish in the Alberta Boreal Forest. The visitor learns about the role of trees in building soil, filtering water, capturing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen. The display refers to unique aspen parkland and the uses of the aspen tree.
