The purpose of this Project was to increase the understanding of the spatial dynamics of soil type at the landscape level for Forest Management Unit P6.

The objective of this Project was to develop a digital soil layer that will give detailed attribute information regarding the dominant soil types within the region. This digital soil layer was developed by taking existing soil survey information and creating a single digital coverage that holds all the attribute information from the respective surveys.

The activities associated with this Project was the digitizing and joining of two different soil surveys that resulted in one digital soil coverage. Inconsistencies between the two soil coverages that were joined were not addressed under this project.
