Object & Deliverables
The objective of this cost-share project was to acquire 1:10,000 leaf-off color infrared (CIR) photography of FMU S20 in the Slave Lake Pulp Forest Management area. Photos were acquired through flying over the areas of interest.
The program covered between 9 and 27 townships per year from 2005 to 2007/08. Specific activities included aerial photo acquisition, quality control, and project administration. The CIR photos allow for the identification of unmapped watercourses, coniferous understories, and other non-timber forest values. This work laid the foundations for the Detailed Forest Management Plan that was due November 2010.
Final Report
Yearly progress was documented in a series of annual reports, each entitled “ALBPLY-01-03 Annual Report – S20 Color Infrared Photography.”
