Object & Deliverables
The primary aim/objective of this Project was to improve the quality and quantity of fisheries & fish habitat inventory data in the upper reaches of the Smoky River Drainage.
In the southern Grande Prairie Area, over the summer seasons of 1995, 1996 & 1997 – four hundred and thirteen sites were sampled and twenty-nine sites repeat sampled to examine seasonal differences in species occurrence and relative abundance. Primary drainages surveyed included the Simonette, Waskahigan, Latornell and Little Smoky Rivers.
Final Report
Inventory results are contained in two reports – Phase II dated February 26th, 1997 and Phase III dated July 23rd, 1998.
