Applications of a standardized Aquatic Biomonitoring Program and Research Priorities for Informing Cumulative Management and Research in Alberta Foothills Forested Watersheds.
Project is intended to:
- educate forest managers on the methods and application of a standardized biomonitoring tool (Canadian Aquatic Biomonitoring Network (CABIN))
- connect forest managers with other CABIN users for the purpose of knowledge exchange , data sharing and support, and
- identify research priorities related to the impacts of forest management policy and practices on aquatic ecosystem and watershed health
- support the development of CABIN analytical tools for the Eastern Slopes and foothills by identifying candidate reference sites to be used for development of a predictive model for benthic invertebrate communities in the region.

An online workshop was successfully hosted February 2021, and an online survey conducted in June of the same year.
