Object & Deliverables


The primary objective of this Project was to provide an important venue to enhance the public’s understanding of the forest products industry in Alberta and its continuing efforts to improve environmental protection and forest stewardship.

Interviews and filming for the Forest History Video took place over the period of August to October, 2004 inclusive. Post- production activities such as scripting and editing; music; narration; sweetening, sound effects and colour correction; plus mastering took place throughout November 2004 to March 2005 inclusive.

Results culminated in a “Big Screen” Gala Premiere and Dinner at the Fairmount Hotel MacDonald on June 20, 2005; followed up with the one-hour television program that aired on the Global Television Network during the evening of June 25th, 2005.


Final Report

The entire Project and its deliverables are summarized in an eighteen page final report entitled “Alberta – A Centennial Forest History”, prepared by Douglas Hutton of King Motion Pictures, and dated May 27th, 2005.
