Object & Deliverables

This Project’s purpose and principal objective was the completion of a forest industry heritage management process for the Whitecourt/South Lesser Slave Lake Region.

The Study consists of four major components: compilation of known cultural historical information; development of a digitized heritage potential model; a detailed summary of the theoretical range of heritage impacts vs typical forestry practices; and a proposed long term management strategy.

Final Report

The Project was a cooperative between ANC Timber Ltd, Blue Ridge Lumber, Millar Western Forest Products and Slave Lake Pulp. Western Heritage Services Inc, who produced a report titled “A heritage management system for the forest industry in the Whitecourt/Lesser Slave Lake Region, Alberta”, completed the Study.
