Object and Deliverables
To increase public understanding of forest management by displaying clearly on signs the dates of harvest, site preparation and reforestation of 87 cut blocks on high use travel corridors within the two FMAs (Hinton and Edson)
- Negotiations with Alberta Transportation were necessary to obtain permissions for some installations along numbered highways.
Wolverine Integrated Resource Management was engaged to locate the appropriate locations for signs to be erected.
- Helmig Sign Shop in Hinton was engaged to build the necessary signs.
- During the summer and fall of 2020, the signs were installed by Fox Creek Development Association.
- Costs of installation were over the original budget due to increased costs of COVID restrictions.
