The primary purpose of this Project was the followup assessment and verification of aerial reconnaissance findings as to the need for stand tending in a series of pre-1991 harvested cutblocks.
It’s objectives include the collection of specific stand level information and the subsequent development of silviculture prescriptions on a block x block basis.
Over the summer season of 2001, approximately 3,416 hectares on 155 cutblocks were ground surveyed.
