Object & Deliverables
The purpose/objective of this Project was the aerial reconnaissance of previously conifer restocked cutblocks to determine their free-to-grow status, from which follow-up management strategies could be devised.
During the Spring of 2001, approximately 7,160 hectares (311 cutblocks) were aerially surveyed – the information collected will be used to assess the current condition of the stands and prescribe treatments for those areas in need of remedial silviculture.
